What’s your professional background?

I’m a Chicago-based freelance designer, brand strategist, and marketer with over a decade of experience. Over the years, I’ve led marketing strategy for startups, social movements, and digital platforms – scaling eCommerce brands beyond $4 million in revenue and even launching a live show venue and coffee shop. Along the way, I founded an LGBTQ+ community-driven brand and helped thousands of people feel seen through human-first design. In short, my background spans marketing, design, photography, and community building – all aimed at crafting authentic stories and impactful visuals that turn audiences into advocates.

What services do you offer as a freelance designer, brand strategist, and marketer?

I offer a wide range of creative and strategic services to help brands tell their story and connect with their audience. Some of my key services include:

  • Brand Strategy & Marketing: Crafting bold brand identities and emotionally intelligent marketing campaigns, developing full-funnel marketing strategies, content creation, and community-building initiatives. I help brands find their voice and engage their people through data-informed strategy and storytelling.

  • Design & Creative Direction: Designing across mediums – from logos and visual brand identities to packaging, UX/UI design, print collateral, apparel, and even motion graphics. My design process is intentional and tailored to each brand, balancing clean aesthetics with emotional resonance (minimal when needed, loud when it matters).

  • Photography: Professional photography services including brand lifestyle shoots, event photography, portraits, and documentary-style coverage. I focus on capturing real, raw human moments – whether on stage or behind the scenes – to create a visual story and “visual trust” for your brand Every shot is taken with purpose, so that each image feels like a candid memory.

Where are you based, and can you work with clients remotely?

I’m based in Chicago, Illinois, and yes, I work with clients all over the world remotely. Location is not a barrier – I regularly collaborate with teams via Google Meets, email, and other online tools. I’m also willing to travel for on-site photography shoots or important in-person sessions if a project calls for it. Whether we work in person or virtually, I adapt to the project’s needs and ensure smooth communication throughout.

Are you currently accepting new projects or collaborations?

Absolutely! I’m always excited to take on new projects and collaborations. My schedule can fill up, but I do my best to make room for meaningful work that aligns with my skills and values. Whether it’s a one-time photoshoot, a long-term design project, or a brand strategy consultation, feel free to reach out and tell me about it. We can discuss your needs and timeline, and I’ll do my best to accommodate. I love partnering on projects that matter, so if you have something in mind, let’s talk about how we can make it happen.

How do you price your services?

My pricing is tailored to each project. Every brand and creative effort is unique, so I don’t have a fixed rate card or one-size-fits-all pricing. Typically, we’ll start with a discussion about your project’s scope, goals, and budget. Based on that, I’ll provide a custom quote or proposal that outlines the deliverables and costs. Factors like project complexity, timeline, and specific requirements will influence the price. Rest assured, I aim to keep my rates fair and transparent – I want you to feel the value in what you’re getting. If you have a budget in mind, I’m happy to work with you to find a solution that fits, or suggest different options to meet your needs.

What core values guide your work?

My work is guided by a human-first philosophy and a commitment to integrity, inclusivity, and creativity. I believe in building things with integrity, clarity, and care. This means I approach each project with honesty and transparency, and I strive for clarity in both design and communication. Inclusivity and empathy are also central to my process – I blend story, strategy, and soul to make sure people feel safe and understood in everything I create. Whether I’m designing a brand or capturing photos, I want the end result to resonate on a human level. Ultimately, I’m driven by the goal of creating work that not only looks good, but also feels meaningful and fosters real emotional connection.

What tools or software do you use in your work?

I use a variety of professional tools to bring ideas to life across different mediums. For design projects, I’m proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro for video editing. I also use other design and prototyping tools (such as Figma for UX/UI design) when building digital experiences. For photography, I shoot with a professional Sony DSLR/mirrorless camera and edit using software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure high-quality, polished images. On the marketing side, I have experience with content management and analytics tools, including social media scheduling platforms, email marketing services, and web analytics tools, to plan and track campaigns. I’m always open to adopting new tools as needed; the key is using the right technology to execute a project effectively and efficiently.

What are some notable projects or clients you’ve worked with?

I’ve been fortunate to work on a variety of exciting projects and with diverse clients over the years. A few notable examples include:

  • Only Humxn: I’m the Founder and Creative Director of Only Humxn, an LGBTQ+ apparel and community brand that goes beyond clothing to promote sustainability, advocacy, and meaningful connection. This project is a labor of love that combines entrepreneurship with social impact.

  • Live Bash: I served as General Manager at Live Bash, a live entertainment startup, where I helped craft authentic stories and impactful visuals to build an engaged creative community. In this role I led marketing and content strategy, helping turn audiences into advocates for the platform.

  • Miss Universe Short Film: In 2023, I was invited to produce a short film for the Miss Universe competition. The film, titled “Today,” premiered during the global broadcast and reached over 6 million viewers. It centered on themes of identity, empowerment, and the strength of vulnerability – an incredible project that allowed me to make a bold, emotional statement on an international stage.

  • Collaborations with Notable Brands: I’ve also partnered with organizations across different industries. For example, I’ve collaborated with the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, contributed to projects with Don’t Tell Comedy, and worked with the fitness brand F45 Training to create engaging visual content and campaigns. These experiences with both major brands and grassroots organizations have given me a broad perspective and adaptability in my creative work.

What is your approach or style when working on a project?

My approach is very intentional and collaborative. I like to begin every project by really understanding your story – the “why” behind the project – and the audience we need to reach. From there, I blend strategy with creativity throughout the process. In practice, that might mean balancing data and insights with imaginative storytelling to craft a campaign, or combining emotional intuition with clear goals when designing a brand identity.

Communication is key to my style, so I’ll keep you involved and informed at each stage. I want the creative process to feel like a partnership. I also carry a human-centered mindset into every task: whether I’m designing, writing, or photographing, I aim to reflect the brand’s soul and make sure the outcome makes people feel something meaningful. My style is warm and adaptable – I can be minimal and clean when it suits the project, or bold and vibrant when it’s time to make a statement. In all cases, you can expect a clear plan, an open ear to feedback, and a focus on making an impact that lasts.
